This high-profile project is the first investment in London for a UAE-based Islamic financial services company. Occupying a prominent corner location, the development is set to become 31 luxury residences targeting ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI). The flagship project is expected to pave the way for future investment and to be the start of a property portfolio. As such, the developer selected Rive Gauche as their interior design partner for its wealth of experience and deep understanding of the exceptional standards required.
“Our client wanted an agile firm that could work at speed without losing focus of the exacting needs of its discerning clientele,” explains Nicolas Roux.“As a medium-size company, Rive Gauche boasts the ability and in-house skill to design large-scale residential developments while offering a very personal level of attention and dedication.”
International experience was also crucial, with the client stipulating the importance of striking a delicate balance between European and Middle Eastern design. Our team have undertaken projects in 15 countries from the Middle East to Africa, and Asia to the United States. In addition, they have extensive experience in super-prime residences for UHNWI. All of which was brought to bear on this project.
Firstly, the layout and distribution of each apartment was adapted to minimise crossover between staff and members of the family. And where possible a secondary kitchen added so that cooking and preparation does not disturb members of the family. This also offers flexibility when catering for events and private parties.
Our team at Rive Gauche also amended the size and distribution of the master bedrooms to create a his-and-hers dressing room. And the master bathroom now features a double vanity, a generous walk-in shower, a bathtub and a separate toilet and bidet. These details are essential to the luxury experience the development’s clientele would expect.
Finally, as security is paramount, additional revisions to the development included a change to the entrance. Now, residents will be able to drive into a secure arrival lobby before stepping out of their car.

By simplifying details and proposing alternative finishes, Nicolas and his team saved over £2 million on the initial design. This is something that was appreciated by the developer. It emphasised the fact that Rive Gauche was a key element in this project, particularly highlighting Nicolas’s transparent approach to the costings and his ability to respect budgets and deliver stand-out design within them.
At the core of the Rive Gauche ethos is its commitment to delivering a tailored service that is built on transparency and trust. In order to achieve this, the company offers one point of contact: Nicolas Roux.
